1. TERMS OF WEBSITE USE
1.1 Please read these terms of use carefully before you start to use the TFP Calculators website. The TFP Calculators website is owned and operated by Technical Financial Planning Limited. By using the TFP Calculators website, you indicate that you accept these terms of use and that you agree to abide by them. If you do not agree to these terms of use, please refrain from using the TFP Calculators website.
2. RELIANCE ON INFORMATION POSTED & DISCLAIMER
2.1 THE CALCULATORS CONTAINED ON THE TFP CALCULATORS WEBSITE ARE PROVIDED FOR GENERAL INFORMATION ONLY AND DO NOT CLAIM TO BE OR CONSTITUTE LEGAL, TAXATION OR OTHER PROFESSIONAL ADVICE AND SHALL NOT BE RELIED UPON AS SUCH.
2.2 All calculations provided are based on TFP Calculators understanding of the information input, current legislation and HMRC practice. TFP Calculators can accept no responsibility for any loss that may occur as a result of reliance on these calculations.
2.3 You acknowledge that such information from the calculators and material may contain inaccuracies or errors and TFP Calculators expressly exclude liability for any such inaccuracies or errors to the fullest extent permitted by law.
2.4 Actual results may vary substantially from the figures shown. All growth rates are hypothetical and are not a guarantee of the future performance of any asset, including insurance or other financial products. All inputs and rates are estimates and assumptions provided by you.
2.5 TFP Calculators do not accept any responsibility for any loss which may arise from accessing or relying on the information on this website. To the fullest extent permitted by English law, we exclude all liability for loss or damages direct or indirect arising from the use of this website.
3. ACCESSING OUR WEBSITE
3.1 Access to the TFP Calculators website is permitted on a temporary basis, and TFP Calculators reserve the right to withdraw or amend the service provided on the website without notice (see below). TFP Calculators will not be liable if for any reason the website is unavailable at any time or for any period.
3.2 It is not necessary to register with TFP Calculators in order to use some parts of the website. However, certain areas of the TFP Calculators website will only be accessible if you have registered.
3.3 TFP Calculators reserves the right to restrict access to other areas of the website, or indeed the whole website, at the discretion of TFP Calculators.
4. REGISTRATION
4.1 Registration is required to enable access to restricted areas of the TFP Calculators website. Each registration is for a single user only. Approval of a single-user registration is at the complete discretion of TFP Calculators.
4.2 During the registration process, the registered single-user will provide to TFP Calculators their individual work email address (e.g. “office@” is not acceptable).
4.3 If TFP Calculators provides you with a username and password (which you can change at any stage) to enable you to access restricted areas of the website or other content or services, you must ensure that the password is kept confidential.
4.4 You must notify TFP Calculators in writing immediately if you become aware of any unauthorised use of your account or password.
4.5 You are responsible for any activity on the website arising out of any failure to keep your password confidential and may be held liable for any losses arising out of such a failure.
4.6 You must not share your username and password or allow any other person to use your username and password or use any other person’s username and password to access the TFP Calculators website. The single-user registration is non-transferrable. Any other person who wants to access restricted areas of the TFP Calculators website must register separately.
4.7 TFP Calculators may disable your username and password at any time at the sole discretion of TFP Calculators with or without notice or explanation. A refund of the subscription fee will not be provided.
5. SUBSCRIPTION FEES AND CHARGES
5.1 The first registered single-user of a firm will have free access to the restricted areas of the TFP Calculators website for 30 days from the date of registration. After that period, access to the restricted areas of the TFP Calculators website will be disabled. Free access to the restricted areas of the TFP Calculators website will not be available to any other person of that firm for a further 24 months.
5.2 Following the 30-day free access, access to the restricted areas of the TFP calculators will only be available on receipt of payment by TFP Calculators of the subscription fee.
5.3 Any other person who wants to access restricted areas of the TFP Calculators website must register separately and pay an additional-user subscription fee. If access is required during the year, a proportionate fee will be payable.
5.4 TFP Calculators may at any time, in the sole discretion of TFP Calculators, introduce or add new fees and charges, or change fees and charges. TFP Calculators will notify registered users by email at least 30 days in advance of any such change. If you do not agree to the change, your registration will be cancelled and your username and password disabled at the end of the 30-day notice period.
6. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY RIGHTS
6.1 TFP Calculators is the owner or the licensee of all intellectual property rights in the TFP Calculators website, and in the material published on it.  Those works are protected by copyright laws and treaties around the world.  All such rights are reserved.
6.2 You may print off one copy, and may download extracts, of any page(s) from the website for your personal reference and you may draw the attention of others within your organisation to material posted on the website.
6.3 You must not modify the paper or digital copies of any materials you have printed off or downloaded in any way, and you must not use any illustrations, photographs, video or audio sequences or graphics separately from any accompanying text.
6.4 TFP Calculators status as the authors of material on the website must always be acknowledged.
6.5 You must not use any part of the materials on the website for commercial purposes without obtaining agreement to do so from TFP Calculators.
6.6 If you print off, copy or download any part of our website in breach of these terms of use, your right to use the website will cease immediately and you must, at the option of TFP Calculators, return or destroy any copies of the materials you have made.
7. OUR WEBSITE CHANGES REGULARLY
7.1 TFP Calculators aim to update the website regularly and may change the content at any time. If the need arises, TFP Calculators may suspend access to the website, or close it indefinitely. Any of the material on the website may become out of date at any given time, and TFP Calculators is under no obligation to update such material.
8. OUR LIABILITY
8.1 Your use of any information from the calculators or material on the TFP Calculators website is entirely at your own risk for which TFP Calculators shall not be liable. The information from the calculators and the material displayed on the TFP Calculators website is provided without any guarantees, conditions or warranties as to its accuracy. To the extent permitted by law, TFP Calculators hereby expressly exclude:
All conditions, warranties and other terms which might otherwise be implied by statute, common law or the law of equity.
Any liability for any direct, indirect or consequential loss or damage incurred by any user in connection with our website or in connection with the use, inability to use, or results of the use of our website, any websites linked to it and any materials posted on it, including, without limitation any liability for:
loss of income or revenue;
loss of business;
loss of profits or contracts;
loss of anticipated savings;
loss of data;
loss of goodwill;
wasted management or office time; and
for any other loss or damage of any kind, however arising and whether caused by tort (including negligence), breach of contract or otherwise, even if foreseeable, provided that this condition shall not prevent claims for loss of or damage to your tangible property or any other claims for direct financial loss that are not excluded by any of the categories set out above.
8.2 This does not affect our liability for death or personal injury arising from our negligence, nor our liability for fraudulent misrepresentation or misrepresentation as to a fundamental matter, nor any other liability which cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law.
9. VIRUSES, HACKING AND OTHER OFFENCES
9.1 You must not misuse the TFP Calculators website by knowingly introducing viruses, trojans, worms, logic bombs or other material which is malicious or technologically harmful. You must not attempt to gain unauthorised access to the TFP Calculators website, the server on which the TFP Calculators website is stored or any server, computer or database connected to the TFP Calculators website. You must not attack the TFP Calculators website via a denial-of-service attack or a distributed denial-of-service attack.
9.2 By breaching this provision, you would commit a criminal offence under the Computer Misuse Act 1990. TFP Calculators will report any such breach to the relevant law enforcement authorities and TFP Calculators will co-operate with those authorities by disclosing your identity to them. In the event of such a breach, your right to use the TFP Calculators website will cease immediately.
